This collar uses chicago screws that can be used to secure the D-ring.

How to Measure Your Dog’s Neck for the Right Collar Fit
There are two easy ways to measure your dog’s neck. No tailor’s tape or awkward measuring tools required.
1) Use their current collar:
Do not measure from end to end. That’s the most common mistake and will throw your measurement off by 1 to 2 inches. Instead, measure from the point where the male end of the buckle meets the female connector when it’s buckled. That spot gives you the true fit. 
2) Use a phone charger cable:
Most people have one nearby, and it works great. Hold one end of the cable with your fingers, gently wrap it around the thickest part of your dog’s neck, and pull it snug, just enough that you can fit two fingers between the cable and their neck. Then, mark the meeting point on the cable with your thumb and measure that length using a regular ruler or tape measure. It’s quick, easy, and surprisingly accurate.
